Terms and Conditions

1.1 Who Can Use Pur Hoops

• Organization/Academy Admins and Coaches must be at least 18 and able to accept these Terms for themselves and for the organization they represent.
• Players join by invitation from a Coach or Organization/Academy Admin. A Player under 18 may use Pur Hoops only with the permission of a parent or guardian, who accepts these Terms on the Player’s behalf.

1.2 Accounts and Verification

Coaches and Organization/Academy Admins register with an email address and password. Players register after entering a valid invitation link or Player Code. We confirm identity with one-time codes sent by email and SMS when you register, sign in, or accept an invitation. On iOS you may also use Sign in with Apple.

Keep your email, mobile number, and password current and private. You are responsible for activity on your account, and you should tell us at david@purhoops.com if you think someone else has used it.

1.3 Roles and Permissions

• Super Admin: Pur Hoops staff who manage organizations, coaches, subscription plans, and support requests.
• Organization/Academy Admin: manages an organization’s profile, Coaches, Players, and invitations.
• Coach: runs practices, takes attendance, records Player makes and attempts, builds practice plans, and adds Players.
• Player / Parent: views the Player’s session history, progress, and team leaderboard.

Please use only the features your role allows.

1.4 Responsibilities of Organizations and Coaches

If you add or invite people to Pur Hoops, you agree to:

• Enter accurate names and contact details
• Have the authority to add Players and Coaches to your organization
• Obtain a parent’s or guardian’s approval before adding a Player who is a minor
• Enter a mobile number only after that person (or their parent or guardian) has agreed to receive invitation texts from Pur Hoops
• Remove people who should no longer have access to your organization

1.5 Invitation Links and Player Codes

Invitation links and Player Codes are meant for the person they were issued to. Do not post them publicly or give them to anyone else. We may disable a link or code that is being misused.

1.6 Rules of Use

When using Pur Hoops, you must not:

• Create fake Player Codes or invitation links, or use ones not meant for you
• Pretend to be another Player, Parent, Coach, Admin, or Pur Hoops staff member
• Enter training results you know to be false or tamper with leaderboards
• Harass or harm other users, including Players who are minors
• Try to access accounts, organizations, or systems you are not authorized to use
• Copy, scrape, or reverse engineer the App or its drill content
• Use the Services for anything unlawful

1.7 Drill Ideas and Feedback

You keep ownership of drill ideas and feedback you send us. By sending them, you allow Pur Hoops to use, adapt, and build on them to improve the Services, without payment or credit to you.

1.8 Pur Hoops Content

The Pur Hoops name and logo, the App, and its drills, drill descriptions, court diagrams, and animations belong to Pur Hoops or its licensors. You may use them only inside the App for your own training and coaching.

1.9 Third-Party Services

Some features rely on outside providers, such as Apple for Sign in with Apple, Stripe for billing, Twilio for text messages, and Supabase for hosting. Their own terms may also apply when you use those features.

2.1 Program Name and Description

Pur Hoops sends transactional text messages to people who provide their mobile number during account registration or sign-in, or who are invited by an Organization/Academy Admin or Coach. Messages include:

• One-time verification codes for new accounts
• One-time login codes
• Organization/Academy Admin invite codes
• Player invitation links or Player Codes

Messages relate only to account security and joining your basketball organization. They are never used for marketing or promotional offers.

2.2 How You Opt In

You opt in by entering your mobile number in the App and agreeing to receive texts from Pur Hoops. If a Coach or Organization/Academy Admin invites you, they may enter your number only after you (or your parent or guardian) have agreed to receive the invitation text.

2.3 Message Frequency

Message frequency varies. You will usually receive one text each time you request a code or are sent an invitation.

2.4 Message and Data Rates

Message and data rates may apply, depending on your mobile plan.

2.5 Opting Out

Text STOP to any Pur Hoops message to unsubscribe. We will send one final text confirming you are unsubscribed, and then no more messages. Text START to opt back in. While unsubscribed you will not receive SMS codes; email david@purhoops.com if you need help getting into your account.

2.6 Getting Help

2.7 Carrier Disclaimer

Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

2.8 Privacy

We do not share, sell, or provide your mobile number or SMS opt-in and consent data to third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. See Section 3 of our Privacy Policy.

3.1 Plans

Pur Hoops offers a free tier and paid plans. Paid plans unlock premium drills and features and may raise team or player limits. Plan details and prices are shown in the App before you subscribe.

3.2 Billing

Payments are processed by Stripe. By subscribing, you authorize charges to the payment method you provide. We never see or store your full card number.

3.3 Automatic Renewal

Paid plans renew automatically at the end of each billing period at the then-current price until you cancel.

3.4 Cancelling

You can cancel from the subscription screen in the App or by emailing david@purhoops.com. Cancelling stops the next renewal; your plan stays active until the end of the period you have already paid for.

3.5 Price Changes and Refunds

We will tell you about a price change before it applies to your next renewal. Payments already made are not refundable unless the law requires a refund.

4.1 Coach-Entered Results

Makes, attempts, attendance, and other results are entered by Coaches. Statistics, percentages, and leaderboards are only as accurate as those entries.

4.2 Offline Recording

Sessions recorded without internet are saved on the device and uploaded when a connection returns. If the App is deleted, its data is cleared, or the device is lost before upload finishes, those unsynced sessions may be lost, and we cannot recover them.

4.3 Physical Activity

Basketball drills involve physical exertion and a risk of injury. Pur Hoops provides drills and tracking tools, not medical or fitness advice. Players should train within their abilities, under appropriate supervision, and check with a doctor if they have health concerns.

5.1 Suspension and Termination

Organization/Academy Admins can remove Coaches and Players from their organization. Pur Hoops may suspend or close accounts that break these Terms, misuse invitations or Player Codes, or put other users at risk. You may stop using the Services and ask us to delete your account at any time.

5.2 No Warranties

We work to keep Pur Hoops reliable, but the Services are provided “as is” and “as available.” To the extent the law allows, we make no promises that they will be uninterrupted, error-free, or suited to a particular purpose.

5.3 Limitation of Liability

To the extent the law allows, Pur Hoops is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential losses, or for lost data (including unsynced offline sessions), arising from use of the Services. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us for the Services in the 12 months before the claim arose.

Nothing in these Terms removes rights you have under consumer protection laws that cannot be waived.

5.4 Indemnity

If a claim is brought against Pur Hoops because of content you entered, people you invited, or your breach of these Terms, you agree to cover the resulting costs, including reasonable legal fees, to the extent the law allows.

5.5 Governing Law and Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the state in which Pur Hoops maintains its principal place of business, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. If you have a concern, please email david@purhoops.com first so we can try to resolve it informally.

5.6 Changes to These Terms

We may revise these Terms as Pur Hoops evolves. We will update the “Last updated” date above and, for significant changes, notify users in the App or by email. Using the Services after a change takes effect means you accept the revised Terms.

5.7 General

If part of these Terms cannot be enforced, the rest still applies. Our not enforcing a term right away does not waive it. You may not transfer your account or these Terms to someone else without our written consent. These Terms and the Privacy Policy are the full agreement between you and Pur Hoops about the Services.
